Our Next Meeting 19th January 2009
FeaturePresidentJo HolmesEmail: president@londoncardinals.com Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities of this role involve the general supervision and operation of the club. Why did I join Cardinals? To improve my confidence, not just about standing up in front of an audience, but in life generally. At my very first meeting I was impressed by the friendly, supportive atmosphere as well as with the excellent standard of speaking. What has membership of the club done for me?So many of use can appear confident on the outside whilst we are actually quaking within. Toastmasters has enabled me to feel as confident on the inside as I used to pretend to be to others. When you have greater confidence you automatically think less about yourself and how others see you and more about the people you are with. That is a great place to be. Toastmasters has given me a great deal of pleasure whilst simultaneously challenging me and enabling me to grow as a person. |
