Why did I join Cardinals?

I joined Cardinals because I wanted to join a club which would really challenge me to challenge myself in public speaking. The people are a wonderful mix of talented, supportive and professional individuals. And you couldn't find a friendlier bunch in a nicer venue.

What has membership of the club done for me?

It has restored my confidence in myself at a time when I was undergoing a career transition. I now feel armed to speak out in any environment and on any subject. The ad hoc table topics equip you for this like nothing else. Not only does Toastmasters provide you with all the skills you need to be a professional (or amateur) speaker, but it gives you a greater level of self-belief and trust in your own potential. I am looking forward to all I still have to learn over the coming year, as I complete my first ten speeches to earn my competent communicators' award.
