Responsibilities

  • To reserve speaking slots for members
  • To organise meeting programmes
  • To encourage members to work through the speeches outlined in the Communication & Leadership Manual to attain CTM status

Why did I join Cardinals?

I wanted to further develop my public speaking skills - In my work I do a lot of facilitation and I wanted to add develop pubic speaking skills to my repertoire.

What has membership of the club done for me?

I feel more confident and enjoy giving speeches - as opposed to just facilitating - and realise there is so much more to develop beyond Competent Communicator and into Advanced Manual speeches

I enjoy the bonhomie, the support, the friendship of London Cardinals - a special club which has an inclusive approach and an exclusive style!!

I value strongly the opportunity to develop communication skills not just in public speaking but also in 1 to 1 during a meeting and leadership and management skills as a committee member.

I cherish the opportunity to provide support and mentor others in their Toastmasters International journey.
